Daywise Tour Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival − Passingdang, Upper Dzongu

Upon arrival we will pick you up from Bagdogra airport/NJP railway station and drive you to Passingdang in Upper Dzongu. The landscape is beautiful and serene and the climate eminently salubrious. You’ll be staying in a home stay at Passingdang, where you will experience the simplicity and the rich hospitality of your hosts and local inhabitants. Spend the evening interacting with your host’s family and enjoy a delicious home-cooked local cuisine cooked over the traditional mud stove. Catch a good night’s sleep as you’ll be trekking the next day.

Day 2 Passingdang – Lingzya − Tholung

Post breakfast, start your journey for Tholung which is going to be a long (20 km, approx 5 hours) trek up to Lingzya village, crossing the village of Tingvong. The trail from Linzey to Tholung will take you through dense forests and cardamom groves. You can also spot birds and butterflies on your way. Upon reaching you will halt a night at a camp in Tholung. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 Tholung Sightseeing

Wake up to a beautiful morning at 8,000 feet above sea level. After morning breakfast your day will start by visiting one of the oldest and most sacred monasteries in Sikkim, Tholung Monastery. This is situated near the “sacred rock.” There is also a traditional bamboo bridge nearby you can cross over. From such a high altitude, you will get a magnificent view of the Himalayas. After getting a sightseeing of in an area you will stay a night here and dinner will be served.

Day 4 Tholung − Keushong Tso/ Lake

Post breakfast you will start your day by hiking upward for Keushong Lake and that is the time your strength and endurance will be in test to the limits. Keushong Lake is situated at an altitude of 14,800 ft above sea level.

One your way, you will come across the herds of yak and the glimpse of blue sheep (which is the endangered species and native to this area) and also get to see the plenty of high altitudes birds while on trek. Upon reaching near to the lake area you will spend the night at a campsite and dinner will be served.

Day 5 Keushong Tso − Tholung − Changay

Early morning after having a light-packed breakfast, have a visit to this beautiful lake after that you will start your way back to Changay, a 4-hour walk downhill. You will be camping for the night. It’s also your last day camping, so if you haven’t already spent time stargazing, making cool shadow animals with your flashlight, and retelling ghost stories around the campfire, then tonight’s the night. Overnight stay and dinner.

Day 6 Departures

After breakfast, you will start for Lingzya village, reaching there by lunch time. After lunch, we’ll drive you to Bagdogra airport/N.J.P. railway station.

15-29 days before travel: 25% of total package cost
8-14 days before travel: 50% of total package cost
4-7 days before travel: 75% of total package cost
Within 72 hours of departure / no-show: 100% of total package cost
Any changes after confirmation may lead to extra charges
If the quoted hotel cost is non-refundable, it cannot be refunded irrespective of the cancellation period
In the event of natural calamities affecting the trip, refunds will be based on hotel approval
